I am always and forever all about a moody landscape. And this mid century landscape is no exception! Vibrant color palette, beautifully applied expressive impasto paint while also conveying a discernible scene and setting. Makes me want to go read some Thoreau, ya know?! It’s got life and emotion in it, which as y’all know… I… can you guess what I’m gonna say next?? Love. Yep, I love it. And it’s the perfect size to make a statement without being overwhelming or *too much*. Signed illegibly. Some minor areas of craquelure but paint is stable on canvas and ready to hang.
