I’ve been hoarding these vintage Charleston Forge chairs in the shop for nearly 2 years because I’m quite fond of them. The neoclassical style sculptural wrought iron frames, the beautifully worn and patina’d cognac leather, I just think they’re great! Alas, that wonderfully patina’d leather is not in excellent condition (it’s stretched and the leather rests on support bars underneath); therefore, for maximal comfort they would benefit from being replaced with new leather. BUT I just haven’t been able to bring myself to doing it because, well, I love them as is. I think they look like works of art. All that being said, I figured it was time I offer them up as-is for any one else who loves their charm or for custom re-upholstery at an additional cost.
