Lance Woody Gravett. How do I even begin to express how much I love this artist? I’ve tried to express it so many times and I hope the love I have for him has been fully conveyed because it’s true, I love his art. What drew me to this painting was the surrealist element of the cupped hands holding a balled up piece of paper on what looks to be like an artist’s desk filled with papers and drawings and tubes of paint. It’s so intriguing to me! And as always is the case with Lance’s works, the colors are so beautiful! Some craquelure but paint is stable. Oil on stretched muslin.
